Environmental Drilling Technician
Job Description
At Alamo1 you will have the opportunity to be part of the team that has led the Environmental Drilling Market in Texas for over 25 years. We are looking for technicians with the following experience:
Employment Requirements:
• Must Be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Be able to lift 50+ LBS, work outside performing physically demanding tasks to include body motion and movements: bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, pulling, pushing, kneeling, etc.
• Have reliable transportation to and from the office
• Be capable of traveling out of town for extended periods of time
• Be willing to learn and take direction from drillers and management
• High school diploma or (General Education Development) GED.
• Possess a valid driver’s license. Class A CDL preferred
Job Responsibilities:
• Obtain 40 OSHA HAZWOPER and Fit Test
• Take direction from driller
• Load supplies and tools for projects
• Communicate effectively with leadership on needs and task completion
• Assist with daily drilling activities to include:
o Job Preparation and Paperwork
o Moving tooling around job as needed
o Getting tooling ready for tasks
o Prepping Sampling equipment
o Breakdown and set up of sampling equipment and communicating with client
o Lifting bags of material
o Mixing and working concrete
o Assisting with plugging and grouting operations
o Using skid steer or forklift
o Cleaning and maintaining equipment
o Water/moyno/grout pump operation
• Working ahead of driller and understanding job steps
• Mechanically inclined for repairs is a plus

Environmental Driller’s Job Description
At Alamo1 you will have the opportunity to be part of the team that has led the Environmental Drilling Market in Texas for over 25 years. We are looking for drillers with the following experience:
Experience Requirements:
• Current license/apprenticeship with at least two years’ operating drilling rigs using direct push and hollow stem auger (HSA) drilling tools in an Environmental drilling field. Mud/air rotary and sonic drilling experience is also a plus.
• Active CDL driver’s license is preferred but not required.
• Experience with setting monitor wells and plugging monitor wells using Hollow Stem Auger, Air/Mud Rotary, direct push rigs, and sonic.
• Proficient in Soil Sampling techniques with background knowledge of DPT macro core, Split Spoon (SPT), Auto hammer {Blow Counts), Shelby Tubes, and Air rotary Coring.
• Ability to operate a skid steer/fork lift
• Grouting and cementing experience
Responsibilities Include:
• Safety- responsible for safe operation of the drill rig, tasks and crew safety.
• Daily Equipment Vehicle Inspections and JSA’s
• Manage and delegate tasks with a Drill crew, perform scope of work to clients specifications, communicate effectively with client and managers
• Operation of the drilling rig and supervision of the drilling crew in the field.
• Maintaining Clean and Orderly Drill, Trucks, and Equipment
• Work with maintenance staff to ensure drill rig, trucks and equipment is serviced and ready for operation.
• 40 OSHA HAZWOPER and Respirator Fit test required
• Must Have reliable Transportation to and from office
• Ability to lift 50 LBS. or greater
• Preemployment Drug Screen and Physical Required
